On March 19, the 7th meeting of the High-Level Working Group on the ASEAN Community Vision beyond 2025 (HLTF-ACV) opened on Belitung Island, Indonesia.
The two-day meeting, co-chaired by Indonesia and Malaysia, continued discussions on the development of the ASEAN Community Vision Statement beyond 2025. Timor Leste attended the meeting for the first time as an observer.
With a community-wide, inclusive and participatory approach, HLTF-ACV held consultations with relevant stakeholders including the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR), ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity ( ACB ), ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).
These consultations aim to ensure that the development of the ASEAN Community Vision beyond 2025 is carried out in a comprehensive, substantive, balanced, inclusive and coordinated manner, in line with the Hanoi Declaration on the ASEAN Community Vision beyond 2025.
