Audi E5 Sportback revealed - luxury electric sedan for only 32,800 USD

The Audi E5 Sportback electric luxury sedan is produced without the famous four-ring logo of the German car company, replaced by the monotonous word Audi.

The SAIC-Audi joint venture has just officially launched the AUDI E5 Sportback model in China. Different from the global Audi brand, this product line does not use the familiar four-ring logo, but instead only carries the words "AUDI" on the front and rear of the car. This is the result of cooperation between Audi AG and SAIC to create car models that are more suitable to the tastes and specific needs of customers in the billion-people market.

The AUDI E5 Sportback is built on the Advanced Digitised Platform (ADP), a new electronic architecture that supports next-generation connectivity, OTA software updates and optimized experiences in a digital environment.

The car has dimensions of 4,870 mm long, 1,990 mm wide, 1,460 mm high, and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, positioned in the mid-range sedan segment. The exterior stands out with a modern fastback style, true to the style of a future electric car.

The car has a circular LED strip and a system of 27 sensors including Hesai lidar, mm-wave radar, ultrasonic radar and camera. All data is processed by the Momenta ADAS driver assistance system, operating on the Nvidia Orin X chip, promising to bring high automation and safety.

Inside, the cabin impresses with a 59-inch 4K resolution screen that spans the entire dashboard. The AUDI OS operating system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, allowing for personalized interfaces and voice control combined with AI.

The interior uses high-quality materials, luxurious wood panels and a sophisticated lighting system, creating a cozy, modern space. AUDI E5 Sportback is launched in two versions. The E5 Pioneer version is equipped with rear-wheel drive, SAIC-CATL's 76 kWh LFP battery, 295 horsepower, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.1 seconds and a range of 618 km according to CLTC standards.

The high-end E5 Flagship Quattro version has two electric motors, with a total capacity of 776 horsepower, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. This version uses a 100 kWh NMC battery from CATL, for a maximum range of 647 km according to CLTC standards.

AUDI E5 Sportback was introduced in China with starting prices from 32,800 to 44,500 USD (equivalent to 863 million to 1.17 billion VND).

With its trendy design, advanced technology and powerful performance, this electric fastback promises to become a formidable competitor in the mid-range electric vehicle segment in the world's largest market.
