On April 19, 2023, Audi Vietnam officially opened the first premium fast charging lounge in Ho Chi Minh City.

Audi Vietnam has equipped the Audi Tan Binh service center with a fast charging station system, the latest Audi Charging Lounge facility displaying three all-electric e-tron quattro models - SUV, GT and RS GT - at the branch on Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1.

The new Audi Charging Lounge is equipped with an indoor DC fast charging area with a 180 kW ABB charging station, which can charge 2 Audi cars at the same time and is ready to expand in the future to equip more high-voltage charging stations. After the Audi Tan Binh service center opens in July 2022, the installation of 180 kW ABB Terra 184 DC fast charging stations at the new Audi Charging Lounge in District 1 will satisfy customers with the ability to fast charge within 20 - 30 minutes, and is extremely convenient when two cars can charge at the same time. The new Audi Charging Lounge in Ho Chi Minh City combines a convenient charging station, while displaying all electric car models for customers to conveniently explore , along with a comfortable resting area for customers to relax or work.

The new Audi Charging Lounge represents Audi's innovative vision for developing charging infrastructure that integrates seamlessly into Vietnam's urban environment, and could radically change the way people perceive charging and electricity in the future. By 2025, Audi AG will launch more than 20 electric models, with more electric vehicles than internal combustion engines this year, continuing Audi's long-standing commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. In 2022, Audi AG sold 118,196 electric vehicles worldwide , up 44% compared to 2021. The strong and continued demand for electric vehicles has helped the market share of electric vehicles increase from 4.8% last year to 7.2%. With the launch of the vehicle platform electric (PPE), Audi is underlining its commitment to becoming a leading provider of fully electric premium mobility.

Developed together with Porsche, the platform is an important foundation for the expansion of Audi's global electric vehicle product range. The future Q6 - e-tron, the group's first production line based on the platform for electric vehicles, will be launched in the second half of 2023. "Audi's new premium charging lounge offers top-notch luxury and convenience in Ho Chi Minh City. And with the launch of the Audi RS e-tron GT, it will contribute to cleaning the air right in the city center," said Mr. Tran Tan Trung - General Director, official distributor at Audi Vietnam.

With the Audi RS e-tron GT launched today, Audi Vietnam expands its portfolio to three pure electric quattro models: Audi e-tron GT, Audi e-tron SUV and Audi RS e-tron GT. Whether SUV or sports car, Audi's electric vehicles are not only leaders in powertrain and performance, but also in design and finish. The e-tron SUV and two high-performance grand tourers are now available at Audi dealerships in Vietnam, signaling a new era for the brand in the S-shaped strip of land, and if the design is not enough to win you over, you will definitely be completely convinced by the experience behind the wheel. The Audi RS e-tron GT also benefits from the Audi electric vehicle incentive program until December 31, 2023. Audi Vietnam offers a free ABB 11 kW (AC) charger to all customers who purchase and pay the full value of an Audi e-tron SUV, Audi e-tron GT or Audi RS e-tron GT to increase the convenience of charging at home.
