Audi Vietnam has equipped the Audi Tan Binh service center with a fast charging station system, the latest Audi Charging Lounge facility displaying three all-electric e-tron quattro models - SUV, GT and RS GT - at the branch on Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1.
The new Audi Charging Lounge is equipped with an indoor DC fast charging area with a 180 kW ABB charging station, which can charge 2 Audi cars at the same time and is ready to expand in the future to equip more high-voltage charging stations. After the Audi Tan Binh service center opens in July 2022, the installation of 180 kW ABB Terra 184 DC fast charging stations at the new Audi Charging Lounge in District 1 will satisfy customers with the ability to fast charge within 20 - 30 minutes, and is extremely convenient when two cars can charge at the same time. The new Audi Charging Lounge in Ho Chi Minh City combines a convenient charging station, while displaying all electric car models for customers to conveniently explore , along with a comfortable resting area for customers to relax or work.
The new Audi Charging Lounge represents Audi's innovative vision for developing charging infrastructure that integrates seamlessly into Vietnam's urban environment, and could radically change the way people perceive charging and electricity in the future. By 2025, Audi AG will launch more than 20 electric models, with more electric vehicles than internal combustion engines this year, continuing Audi's long-standing commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. In 2022, Audi AG sold 118,196 electric vehicles worldwide , up 44% compared to 2021. The strong and continued demand for electric vehicles has helped the market share of electric vehicles increase from 4.8% last year to 7.2%. With the launch of the vehicle platform electric (PPE), Audi is underlining its commitment to becoming a leading provider of fully electric premium mobility.
Developed together with Porsche, the platform is an important foundation for the expansion of Audi's global electric vehicle product range. The future Q6 - e-tron, the group's first production line based on the platform for electric vehicles, will be launched in the second half of 2023. With the Audi RS e-tron GT launched today, Audi Vietnam expands its portfolio to three pure electric quattro models: Audi e-tron GT, Audi e-tron SUV and Audi RS e-tron GT. The e-tron SUV and two high-performance grand tourers are now available at Audi dealerships in Vietnam, signaling a new era for the brand in the S-shaped strip of land, and if the design is not enough to win you over, you will definitely be completely convinced by the experience behind the wheel. The Audi RS e-tron GT also benefits from the Audi electric vehicle incentive program until December 31, 2023. Audi Vietnam offers a free ABB 11 kW (AC) charger to all customers who purchase and pay the full value of an Audi e-tron SUV, Audi e-tron GT or Audi RS e-tron GT to increase the convenience of charging at home. This charger is given in addition to the Audi mobile charger that is already equipped in every Audi electric vehicle. In Vietnam, Audi Vietnam currently has three pure electric models, and by the end of 2023, the Audi Q8 e-tron quattro will also arrive in Vietnam. The Audi e-tron 50 SUV quattro produces up to 230 kW of power and 540 Nm of torque almost instantly, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The car can travel 334 km on a single charge (WLTP). The Audi e-tron GT quattro produces 350 kW of power and 630 Nm of torque – in Boost mode, the power can be increased to 390 kW and 640 Nm of torque in 2.5 seconds, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The car can travel 488 km on a single charge (WLTP). Launched on April 19, 2023, the new Audi RS e-tron GT quattro has 440 kW of power and 830 Nm of torque, in Boost mode it can produce up to 475 kW of power and 830 Nm of torque in 2.5 seconds – accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The car can travel 472 km on a single charge (WLTP). All Audi e-tron models come with a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty, the battery is warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km.
