In the early match on Saturday evening, December 27th, Man City defeated Nottingham 2-1. While Man City's top scorer, Erling Haaland, failed to score, they were compensated by a brilliant performance from French midfielder Rayan Cherki.
Rayan Cherki assisted Tijani Reijnders for the opening goal in the 48th minute. He then scored himself in the 83rd minute after an assist from Jasko Gvardiol, securing a 2-1 victory for Man City.
A few hours later, Arsenal hosted Brighton at home and also won with the same scoreline.
