The most recent meetings of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee were all chaired by Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh – Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

According to information from the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Trinh Minh Thanh, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, has been assigned to manage the work of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, replacing Nguyen Xuan Ky, who recently submitted a resignation letter from his assigned positions.

Besides Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee currently includes the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Cao Tuong Huy; and the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Dang Xuan Phuong.

Earlier on August 3rd, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam held a meeting on personnel matters within its authority.

Based on the report of the Central Inspection Committee and the proposal of the Central Organization Committee, the Central Committee of the Party found that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky and several other leaders had violated Party regulations in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, the responsibility of setting an example, and regulations on preventing and combating corruption and negative practices.

Aware of their responsibilities to the Party and the people, they have submitted resignation letters from their assigned positions.

Based on current regulations of the Party and State, and considering the wishes of the individuals concerned, the Central Committee of the Party agrees to allow Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky and several other leaders to relinquish their positions as members of the 13th Central Committee of the Party.

Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, 51 years old, is from Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province.

Prior to becoming Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee in 2021, Ms. Thanh had previously served as Vice Chairperson of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, Director of the Department of Finance, Chairperson of the Provincial Women's Union, and Deputy Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee…

Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh assumed the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee after the former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Ngo Hoang Ngan, returned to the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group and assumed the position of Chairman of the Group's Board of Members.
