Mr. Quan Minh Cuong holds the position of Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee

Mr. Quan Minh Cuong has just been assigned by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On December 3, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, attended and chaired the conference.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided to allow Mr. Quan Minh Cuong to stop participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and stop holding the position of Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee; at the same time, transfer and appoint Mr. Cuong to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 16th term, 2025 - 2030.

In his speech assigning tasks, Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Committee, affirmed that Mr. Quan Minh Cuong is assessed by the Politburo as a well-trained cadre, with capacity and experience in Party building and political building; has sharp thinking, scientific working methods, decisive direction, close to the grassroots, and has held many important leadership positions.

In all his positions, Mr. Cuong has always excellently completed assigned tasks, making important contributions to the overall results of the agencies, units and localities where he has worked.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee believes and expects that with his capacity, courage, responsibility and experience, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong will excellently fulfill his duties as Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, he requested the leaders of the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and leaders at all levels and sectors of Quang Ninh province to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and unity, focusing on leadership and direction to successfully implement the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, making Quang Ninh a city directly under the Central Government before 2030, confidently entering a new era with the whole country.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee hopes to build a "frank - transparent - responsible" working spirit: when discussing work, be clear; when implementing, be determined and resolute; when the results are not good, be brave enough to take responsibility to do better.

Along with that, we continue to preserve the tradition of "discipline and unity", but at the same time nurture a new spirit: wider connection, stronger openness, deeper cooperation, so that Quang Ninh is not only the driving force of the region but also a destination for friends and investors at home and abroad.

Mr. Quan Minh Cuong (56 years old, from Hung Yen) has a high political level, a doctorate in law, and a bachelor's degree in police. Before becoming Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, he held positions at the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Quan Minh Cuong's predecessor, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, was recently transferred by the Politburo to become Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and was elected Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee on November 28.
