Besides, English is becoming the second language in schools, so it is reasonable for schools to focus on admission combinations with English subjects and remove a traditional combination."

Master Chung informed that the number of majors that recruit the traditional C00 combination at Gia Dinh University is decreasing. However, the school will carefully research and survey before removing a combination, in the spirit of always creating the most favorable conditions for candidates in the admission process. Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Communication Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that in 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has no policy to eliminate block C. The school plans to keep the admission combinations the same as in 2025 to ensure information stability, create peace of mind for candidates in the process of choosing a major and maintain consistency in training orientation.

Accordingly, the school continues to apply about 6 combinations for each major, including combinations with foreign languages, social sciences and natural sciences. Maintaining the diversity of combinations is built on the multidisciplinary characteristics of the school, especially in fields such as multimedia communications, public relations, psychology, Korean language, Japanese language, English language, etc.

Admissions need to ensure diverse choices, suitable to the characteristics of each industry and different abilities of candidates.

"In the current admission trend, the assessment of TS's capacity is carried out comprehensively, based on many factors such as basic knowledge, thinking, academic skills and adaptability. Separate assessment exams such as V-SAT or capacity assessment exams are also designed to measure multidimensionally, in which foreign language is an important criterion but not the only criterion," said Master Xuan Dung.

Regarding the issue of whether traditional combinations should be changed to prioritize foreign languages, Ms. Xuan Dung said that foreign languages ​​bring advantages in the context of integration and should be used in many admission combinations; at the same time, traditional combinations should be maintained to ensure diverse choices, suitable to the characteristics of each industry and different abilities of PhDs.

"Therefore, the school continues to implement both groups of combinations in parallel, ensuring openness and suitability in enrollment. In case of adjustments, the school will announce them in accordance with regulations, ensuring full, clear and transparent information for candidates in the 2026 enrollment season," Master Xuan Dung informed.
