In a recent press conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that regarding the case of 316 people hospitalized after eating Ms. Bich's toad bread (112A Nguyen Thai Son, Hanh Thong ward) and branch 2 on Le Quang Dinh street, Binh Loi Trung ward, the Department concluded that this was a case of food poisoning.
The Department of Food Safety has issued a document requesting 16 related medical examination and treatment facilities to confirm the level of health impact on patients in the food poisoning case. This is the basis for completing the administrative violation handling file for the facility causing the poisoning according to the law.
The Department of Food Safety said it will continue to inform the press and the people.

Previously, on November 7, the Department of Food Safety received a report of suspected food poisoning after eating bread sold by Ms. Bich. The Department coordinated with the Department of Health , the People's Committee of Hanh Thong Ward and medical facilities to verify, investigate the cause and handle the case in accordance with the regulations on investigating food poisoning.
As of November 13, 316 cases of suspected food poisoning were recorded after eating bread from the above facility.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety collected food samples and comprehensively inspected the processing conditions at the bakery at 112A Nguyen Thai Son, and tested 27 specimens, finding 15 samples positive for Salmonella bacteria.
There will be surprise inspections of food safety handling.
According to the Department of Food Safety, recently, there have been a number of food poisoning cases in the city. Therefore, the Department of Food Safety has coordinated with the authorities and the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to carry out many actions to strengthen food safety in the area.
Specifically, the Department of Food Safety has increased food safety training for food service establishments, collective kitchens at schools, industrial parks, hospitals, and charity kitchens.
At the same time, in the line of direction, the Department of Food Safety issued an official dispatch on strengthening food poisoning prevention, controlling the origin and ensuring food safety in the area. The official dispatch requested the People's Committees of 168 wards, communes and special zones to provide the following contents:
Organize regular and surprise inspections, promptly detect and strictly handle violations of food safety in the area;
Strengthen communication and guidance for food production and business establishments to comply with regulations and guide people to choose safe food;
Promptly report and closely coordinate with the Department of Food Safety when detecting suspected food poisoning incidents occurring in the area.
At the same time, the Department of Food Safety also strengthens propaganda to consumers about choosing safe food, and should buy products from places with clear origin and fixed, reputable business locations.
To ensure food hygiene and safety, this unit emphasized the need for close coordination and synchronous implementation of functional agencies in propagating, inspecting and monitoring food safety.
In addition, strict compliance with food safety laws by production and business establishments and consumers' selection and use of food are core factors to enhance food safety in the area.
