From the evening of June 21st to June 24th, water levels on rivers in the province are likely to experience flooding. Flood peaks on the Thuong and Luc Nam rivers could reach alarm level I to alarm level II. Flood peaks on the Cau River at the Dap Cau Hydrological Station could reach alarm level II to above alarm level II.
Heavy rainfall over a short period poses a risk of localized landslides in small streams, areas with steep slopes, embankments along roads, and construction sites along rivers in the districts of Lang Giang, Yen The, Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, and Hiep Hoa; localized flooding in residential areas, overloading of urban drainage systems, and traffic congestion.
Reportedly, from last night to this morning (June 21st), heavy rain in Thai Nguyen province caused localized flooding, with many areas experiencing deep water, prompting authorities to implement urgent measures to evacuate residents from flooded areas. In Bac Giang, provincial authorities are closely monitoring weather developments and promptly issuing warnings to help people take preventative measures against natural disasters.
