Bac Giang: Approval granted for the Dong Son bridge construction project.

(BGĐT) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Decision No. 1076/QD-UBND approving the project to build Dong Son bridge in Yen The district and Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, the project investor is the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation and Agricultural Projects of Bac Giang Province. The project has a total investment of 75 billion VND from the provincial budget, to be implemented from 2023 to 2025 in Lang Giang and Yen The districts, Bac Giang province.

The route is approximately 0.92km long (of which about 0.68km is within Yen The district and 0.24km is within Lang Giang district); the starting point is at the central intersection of Dong Son commune; the end point connects with the road from Dong Son bridge to DT.292, located in Nghia Hoa commune, Lang Giang district.

The roadbed width is 12m, and the shoulder width is 5m (of which the reinforced shoulder on each side is 2m wide). The maximum design speed for vehicles crossing the bridge is 60km/h. The project investment includes the following items: Roadbed and surface; longitudinal and transverse drainage systems; lighting; Dong Son bridge; and traffic safety along the route.

The project aims to contribute to the completion of the transportation infrastructure network of Yen The and Lang Giang districts, strengthening inter-district connectivity through the road network in the area. This will create a foundation for promoting local socio -economic development, addressing the risk of traffic accidents caused by the deterioration of old bridges, enhancing cultural exchange activities, and ensuring security in the area.
