At the press conference, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Quang Hai informed that the Open Cycling Tournament with the theme "Journey in the footsteps of the Buddha King" in 2025 will be held at the provincial level for the first time. The tournament is expected to attract about 300 athletes from inside and outside the province. Athletes will compete in 4 sets of races according to 4 age groups, starting from Bac Giang city to Tay Yen Tu Spiritual Ecological Tourism Area with a distance of about 70 km for men. Female athletes will start from Kham Lang intersection (Luc Nam) to Tay Yen Tu Spiritual Ecological Tourism Area with a distance of about 50 km.
He emphasized that the Open Cycling Race with the theme “Journey in the footsteps of the Buddha King” is a propaganda activity for Bac Giang’s unique tourism product “The path of propagating Buddhism of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist Patriarchs”, thereby promoting the image of the land and people of Bac Giang to tourists.
Currently, the provincial police have a detailed plan with the participation of district police forces to ensure the bicycle race takes place in absolute safety and is a great success./.
