Throughout his revolutionary life, President Ho Chi Minh always placed the interests of the Fatherland and the People above all else. He was simple in his lifestyle, exemplary in his morality, profound in his thinking, close to the people, and especially possessing boundless love for his compatriots and comrades. President Ho Chi Minh's love for humanity and the people was profoundly expressed in every word, deed, and even in his sacred Last Will and Testament.

It is an honor and a source of pride for the people of Bac Kan that, during the pre-revolutionary period and the years of resistance against the French, the beloved President Ho Chi Minh stayed and carried out revolutionary activities in almost all localities. The villages of Ngan Son, Ba Be, Cho Don, Cho Moi, and Bach Thong still pass down to future generations the image and compassionate heart of the beloved Uncle Ho. Bac Kan, with its vast mountains and forests, and its people of various ethnic groups, with unwavering loyalty, sheltered and protected many revolutionary bases, hiding cadres, thereby contributing to the glorious victory of the entire nation.

The book "Bac Kan Remembers Uncle Ho" is divided into four parts with distinctive content: Part 1: Following in Uncle Ho's Footsteps; Part 2: Stories about Uncle Ho in Bac Kan; Part 3: Poems by Bac Kan authors about Uncle Ho; Part 4: Some songs, Then songs, and paintings by Bac Kan authors about the beloved Uncle Ho.

Page by page, readers will encounter true stories and proud historical milestones of the people of Bac Kan province. A special feature of this book is that it is the first to compile a relatively complete collection of literary and artistic works by Bac Kan artists about President Ho Chi Minh. More than just valuable documents, the book is also the voice of heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation from the people of this former revolutionary base. Readers will be deeply moved by the love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh shown by the ethnic minority people in the short story "The Picture Hanging in the House" by writer Nong Minh Chau. Along with that, they will deeply empathize with the poems of 14 authors, including impressive verses such as:

"There's an old man walking barefoot again."

Wearing Nung traditional clothing,

He held a rattan stick in his hand.

He had a smokeless pipe in his mouth.

His long beard was both white and black.

His limbs are as nimble as a young man's...

The old man smiled and waved to the person waiting to greet him.

...

He spoke, and the people heard every word clearly.

"We want the revolution to succeed quickly!"

We must unite like a bundle of chopsticks...!

(Old Man's Soldier - Nong Quoc Chan)

With its coherent structure, rich content, and emotional depth, "Bac Kan Remembers Uncle Ho" not only reflects the author's dedication but also represents a serious and valuable collection of documentary and cultural materials. Sharing about the process, author Ma Phuong Tan said: "More than half a century has passed, and the homeland has transformed, but the hearts and feelings of the people of Bac Kan for Uncle Ho remain intact. The feelings and memories of President Ho Chi Minh towards this land always inspire and motivate us to continue researching, collecting, and compiling this book, 'Bac Kan Remembers Uncle Ho,' as a tribute from the reporters and artists of Bac Kan to his immense contributions to the Vietnamese revolution and to the people of Bac Kan."

“Bac Kan Remembers Uncle Ho” is not just a book recording historical journeys, but also a harmonious symphony of the people's hearts, a convergence of memories, feelings, pride, and gratitude of generations of Bac Kan people. Published on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), the book is even more meaningful, as a sacred spiritual gift to readers.
