From 2:00 p.m. on June 19, Bac Kan Register Joint Stock Company officially resumed operations after receiving support from the Vietnam Register.
Bac Kan province has only one motor vehicle inspection center.
Before it was shut down, this was the only inspection center in Bac Kan province with about 1,700 vehicles inspected each month. For the past 4 months, Bac Kan residents had to take their vehicles to neighboring provinces such as Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang for inspection, which was costly and time-consuming.
Previously, on February 13, 2023, the Economic Police Department of Bac Kan Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 5 officers and employees of Bac Kan Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company - 9701D for accepting bribes.
The prosecuted subjects include: Tran Duc Duong (born in 1970, Director of Bac Kan Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company), Hoang Huy Truong (born in 1986, Deputy Director), Pham Hong Chinh (born in 1963, vehicle inspector), Hoang Van Buong (born in 1991, vehicle inspector) and Hoang Ngoc Hai (born in 1985, employee).
According to the initial investigation results, from 2020-2022, Tran Duc Duong, as Director of Bac Kan Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company, directed employees to accept bribes to ignore technical errors of road vehicles and specialized motorbikes when performing technical safety and environmental protection inspections for these vehicles./.
