According to information presented at the "FDI Connect 2026" forum, organized by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province on the afternoon of April 24th, as of now, Bac Ninh province has 3,545 active foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total investment capital of nearly 49.5 billion USD.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in Bac Ninh province come from 42 countries and territories worldwide , primarily in high-tech, semiconductor, and smart manufacturing sectors. Among the FDI projects in Bac Ninh, many are from global corporations, such as Samsung, Foxconn, Amkor, and Canon.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, stated that: In 2025 alone, Bac Ninh will attract $5.73 billion in FDI, ranking second nationwide; in the first quarter of 2026, Bac Ninh will continue to attract $1.2 billion in FDI, maintaining its position among the leading localities nationwide.

"More important than the figures mentioned above is that international corporations such as Samsung, Foxconn, VSIP, Amkor, etc., have chosen Bac Ninh and continue to expand their investment scale in Bac Ninh. This is the clearest evidence of an effective investment environment," a representative of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee stated.

According to Mr. Dau Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary General of VCCI, "mentioning Bac Ninh province brings to mind Vietnam's 'capital' for attracting major investments, with many global corporations choosing it as their investment destination." Meanwhile, Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, stated that in the first quarter of 2026, FDI attraction into Vietnam will exceed 15 billion USD, with Bac Ninh being a prime example among leading localities and a model in attracting FDI.

In his opening remarks at the forum, Associate Professor Dr. Ho Sy Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), stated that: With its strategic location, stable political environment, and strong reform efforts, Vietnam is becoming an attractive destination for international investment. Within this overall picture, with its synchronized industrial park infrastructure, convenient connectivity, and selective FDI attraction strategy, Bac Ninh is not only a destination for large-scale projects but also a center for high-tech supply chains, especially in the electronics sector.

According to Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Bac Ninh province is aiming to become a centrally-governed city before 2030, with a vision to become the leading electronics and semiconductor industry center in the country. By 2050, it aims to be a model of a green, civilized city with a strong cultural identity, and a livable city in the Asian region.

To achieve these goals, Bac Ninh is currently focusing on comprehensively completing its strategic infrastructure system, especially inter-regional transportation infrastructure, new-generation industrial parks, logistics and digital infrastructure, and establishing a free trade zone.

Key projects such as Gia Binh International Airport, the road connecting Hanoi, the Ring Road 4 and Ring Road 5, international railway lines through Bac Ninh (Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong; Dong Dang - Hanoi), VinSpeed ​​high-speed railway, waterways, etc., will contribute to expanding development space and enhancing competitiveness.

According to representatives of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, the province currently has 500 hectares of cleared land in industrial zones, with synchronized infrastructure, ready to receive large-scale, high-tech investment projects. By the end of 2026, the province will add another 500 hectares to welcome new waves of investment.

In particular, with the presence of 15 universities, 32 colleges, and numerous vocational education institutions, Bac Ninh provides a stable supply of trained labor; especially skilled and high-quality workers.

Regarding institutions and the investment environment, Bac Ninh implements a "green channel" mechanism in handling administrative procedures, with the aim of transparency and creating the most favorable and fastest conditions for projects to quickly become operational.

With a consistent motto of "putting the people and businesses at the center of service, the people as the beneficiaries, and the State playing a role in creating development" and "The success of businesses is also the success of the province, the difficulties of businesses are also the difficulties of the province," Bac Ninh accompanies, shares, and develops together with investors.

With the theme "Towards a Sustainable Global Supply Chain," the "FDI Connect 2026" forum, organized by VCCI in collaboration with the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, attracted approximately 600 delegates from Party and State agencies, ministries, departments, and localities; leaders of provinces and cities; FDI enterprises; and Vietnamese enterprises in the supply chain.
