Bac Ninh: Level II flood alert issued on Thuong River.

BAC NINH - The Bac Ninh Provincial Civil Defense Command issued an emergency order as the Thuong River (at the Cau Son Hydrological Station) reached flood alert level 2. Local authorities deployed patrols and 24/7 duty officers to protect residents.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued alert level II on the Thuong River (at the Cau Son Hydrological Station).

The Provincial Civil Defense Command has just issued a telegram to the Departments of Construction, Industry and Trade, and Health ; the Civil Defense Commands of Lang Giang, Kep, My Thai, Tan Dinh, and Tien Luc communes; and the Bac Song Thuong Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited regarding the issuance of Alert Level II on the Thuong River (at Cau Son Hydrological Station).

The official dispatch stated that at 13:40 on May 21, 2026, the water level on the Thuong River at the Cau Son hydrological station was above alarm level II (corresponding to a water level of ≥15.00m).

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued Alert Level II on the Thuong River at the Cau Son Hydrological Station and requested: The Civil Defense Commands of the communes should immediately organize duty shifts, patrols, and guard duties along both sides of the river, detect and proactively address and reinforce landslide areas affecting the safety of residential areas and riverside structures. Inform the public and owners of water transport vessels on the river to proactively take preventive measures to ensure the safety of people and property. Maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster, regularly update information, and promptly report to the Provincial Civil Defense Command (the permanent agency of the Provincial Military Command) and the Department of Agriculture and Environment (through the Irrigation Sub-Department) for guidance and direction.

The official dispatch was also forwarded to the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police Department; Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television, and members of the Provincial Civil Defense Command for timely coordination.
