Bac Ninh: Tightening management and stabilizing prices during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

In order to stabilize the market during the Lunar New Year of 2026 (Year of the Horse), the Provincial People's Committee requests close monitoring of price developments and strict handling of price violations.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Document No. 278/UBND-KTTH directing the Department of Finance to take the lead and coordinate with other departments, agencies, and localities to strengthen management, operation, and price stabilization in the province before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to closely monitor the supply and demand situation and market prices in the province before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, especially for essential goods and services that directly serve the needs of the people, such as food, fresh produce, tourism services, passenger transportation services, and other essential goods related to production.

The Department of Finance is responsible for promptly advising the Provincial People's Committee on measures to stabilize prices in accordance with the law, developing plans to regulate and support the circulation of goods in a reasonable manner, and promptly proposing the release of national reserve goods as prescribed.

Simultaneously, coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and units to promote the implementation of price listing and price declaration within their authority; inspect compliance with legal regulations on prices, taxes, fees, and charges within the area; and strictly handle violations according to regulations.

In addition, coordinate with relevant agencies to strictly, thoroughly, and effectively combat smuggling, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud; prevent tax evasion and fraud, reduce tax arrears; and focus on managing state budget expenditures to ensure strictness, efficiency, economy, and adherence to regulations.

In addition, in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant units, based on the actual conditions and situation in the locality, they will promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of a suitable market stabilization program in the area; develop plans to regulate and support the circulation of goods in a reasonable manner; and organize and strictly implement the market price reporting regime before, during, and after Tet as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.
