Bac Ninh: Visiting and giving gifts to children in special circumstances.

BAC NINH - On the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1st and the Month of Action for Children in 2026, the Provincial Department of Health organized a delegation to visit and present gifts to children at several child protection facilities and specialized education centers in the province.

On the morning of May 27th, the Provincial Department of Health organized a delegation to visit, present gifts, and encourage children with special circumstances who are being cared for and nurtured at the Hoa Huong Duong Inclusive Education Center and the Bac Ninh Comprehensive Social Protection Facility (both located in Bac Giang ward). Accompanying the delegation were leaders from the Department of Education and Training, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union, and the Sub-Department of Population and Children.

The delegation presented gifts to underprivileged children at the Bac Ninh Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

The Hoa Huong Duong Inclusive Education Center, established in 2017, has the mission of supporting children with disabilities, especially those with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and hearing impairment. Through its operation and development, the center now has 9 branches in Bac Ninh province, contributing to providing many children with disabilities access to early intervention services and specialized education.

Currently, the center is providing intervention and support to 582 children, including 18 children with motor disabilities, 10 children with hearing and speech disabilities, 3 children with neurological and mental disabilities, 76 children with intellectual disabilities, and 506 children with autism spectrum disorder.

The Bac Ninh Comprehensive Social Welfare Center is a public service unit under the Department of Health . Its function is to receive, manage, care for, nurture, educate, and support rehabilitation for social welfare beneficiaries and children with special circumstances. Currently, the center manages and cares for many vulnerable groups of children, including orphans, children with HIV, children with hearing and speech disabilities (deaf and mute), severely disabled children, abandoned children, and other cases of special hardship.

The delegation presented gifts at the Hoa Huong Duong Inclusive Education Center.

The unit is currently teaching a specialized sign language program to 59 children with hearing and speech disabilities in 6 classrooms; at the same time, it cares for 4 children with HIV, 12 orphans, and many severely disabled children who require regular support.

During their visits, the delegation inquired about the learning and living conditions of the disabled students; and acknowledged the efforts of the staff and teachers in providing counseling, support, and educational intervention for disabled children in the area.

The delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the units in receiving, caring for, nurturing, and educating disadvantaged children. They hoped that the units would continue to improve the quality of care, education, and rehabilitation, helping the children have better conditions for learning, development, and integration into the community.

On the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1st, the delegation presented gifts (from the Bac Ninh Provincial Children's Protection Fund) and offered words of encouragement to the children, wishing them a joyful, warm, and happy Children's Day.
