As May comes, in many places around the world , feelings of admiration, respect, and love for President Ho Chi Minh surge again, because as shared by the General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party Mauro Alboresi: “Ho Chi Minh is a figure who transcends national boundaries, transcends time, and represents a reference point for all of humanity. I truly believe that he will exist forever.”
More than half a century has passed, but the echoes of " Ho Chi Minh's Song" still resonate in the heart of Central Secretary of the Communist Party of Chile Claudio De Negri.
He still clearly remembers the refrain “Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Minh: We will fight to the end!” that rang out during the pro-Vietnam parade in Santiago de Chile.
Talking to a reporter from the Vietnam News Agency in Latin America, he said: “We secretly painted posters and murals about Ho Chi Minh, despite the risk of being arrested. Our feelings for him came naturally, from the similarity in ideals of freedom and peace .”
In Peru, Central Secretary of the Communist Party Hidebrando Cahuanca Segovia affirmed: “Ho Chi Minh's ideology, especially the view that 'Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom', has become the manifesto of all peace-loving people in the world.”
In Ecuador, Mr. Juan Meriguet Martínez - Central Committee member of the Citizen Revolutionary Party, emphasized: "The name of Ho Chi Minh and his ideology are the guiding principles for the revolutionary movement in Latin America."
The house of Mr. Juan Meriguet Martínez, like many other families in Ecuador, keeps photos and books about Uncle Ho, as a way to honor his immortal value.
In Milan (Italy), the Antica Trattoria della Pesa restaurant has now become a special memorial space, with the Ho Chi Minh Room - where the bronze statue, precious photos and the chair where Uncle Ho used to sit are located, telling the story of a simple man with great ambitions.
The solemn white stone plaque engraved with the words: "This house is where President Ho Chi Minh often visited during his time abroad in the 1930s to protect freedom for the people" is a testament to the respect of the Italian people for Uncle Ho.
Antica Trattoria della Pesa is now not only a meeting place for the Vietnamese community but also a cultural bridge, spreading the image of Uncle Ho to international friends.
Mr. Danilo Pettinari, a local resident, confided to reporters of the Vietnam News Agency in Italy: “We came here to share our love for Vietnam, for Uncle Ho - an outstanding international communist soldier.”
Italian journalist Massimo Loche, who was a war correspondent in Vietnam, expressed his admiration: “With a noble and humane personality, the special charm of a person with great ideals, ambitions, burning aspirations, and an iron will and determination to find a way to regain independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people, he created the Ho Chi Minh style that we all later came to know and admire.”
According to the opinion of Central Secretary, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Chairman of the World Peace Council Pallab Sengupta: "President Ho Chi Minh is a great man in the global struggle for national liberation, socialism and anti-imperialism.
The teachings of President Ho Chi Minh are a beacon for all communists fighting for justice and socialism."
That was also the impression of Argentine journalist and scholar Gaston Fiorda when talking to a reporter from the Vietnam News Agency in Buenos Aires about his feelings when visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum at Ba Dinh Square.
He said: “A small man, but he is one of the great men of the 20th century, not only for Vietnam, for Indochina but also for all humanity.”

Sharing the same view, Professor Shimizu Masaaki at Osaka University (Japan) said: “President Ho Chi Minh is an iconic leader of the decolonization movement in the Southern Hemisphere. He is not only a revolutionary leader of a country, but also a ‘global example’ combining ideology, practice and personality.”
Researcher Ly Minh Han - consultant for the film "Nguyen Ai Quoc in Hong Kong" stated: "Nguyen Ai Quoc's personality, moral qualities and revolutionary spirit are extremely valuable legacies."
In the memory of Mr. Lang Duc Quyen - a former Chinese student - the image of Uncle Ho in a brown ao ba ba and rubber sandals, entering the Presidential Palace with a gentle smile in 1964 is an image that will never fade.
He recalled: "When the Chinese student group wanted to sing a song praising him, Uncle Ho gently refused and suggested singing 'Dong Phuong Hong' praising Chairman Mao Zedong to express their friendship."
A simple but meaningful gesture, demonstrating a noble personality, always putting international solidarity above personal honor.
Secretary General of the Brazil-Vietnam Friendship Association Pedro da Oliveira, author of the book "Ho Chi Minh, the life and career of the leader of the Vietnamese national liberation" in Portuguese, affirmed that wherever he went, even where he had never been, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, humanistic values, ethics and personality always had a strong appeal, spread strongly, and created a strong influence on the struggles for independence, freedom, peace, justice, democracy and social progress in many places around the world. These are timeless legacies, fully relevant to current events.
Sharing the same perspective, Dr. Sandra Scagliotti, a prestigious Vietnamologist and Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Turin and Genoa (Italy), reiterated that President Ho Chi Minh's invaluable moral and cultural legacy has a strong influence on the international arena, endlessly inspiring those who are fighting for freedom and independence.
She emotionally confided: “Uncle Ho is always with us. What he taught us with humility and steadfastness, we will always carry and remember deeply in our minds and hearts.”
For her, the meaningful saying of the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh - "There are a hundred ways to survive, but there is only one way to live fully: For the happiness of the people" - encapsulated the meaning of a life of great dedication, becoming a guiding compass for the younger generations. And thus, "The Song of Ho Chi Minh" will forever spread to future generations./.
