The Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Dak Lak Branch, deployed tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024

On the morning of October 21, the Board of Directors of the Dak Lak Provincial Bank for Social Policies held a meeting to evaluate the performance in the third quarter and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The report at the meeting said that in the first 9 months of 2024, 41,903 poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries received loans, with a total loan amount of more than VND 1,999.2 billion (an increase of more than VND 536.2 billion over the same period in 2023). As of September 30, 2024, the total outstanding social policy credit balance in the province reached nearly VND 7,980 billion (an increase of more than VND 624 billion compared to the end of 2023, a growth rate of 8.49%), with 168,321 customers with outstanding loans.

Credit quality continues to be maintained and improved. Total overdue debt and deferred debt is more than VND 8.1 billion, accounting for 0.102%, meeting the target set by the resolution (maintaining below 0.2%). Compared to the end of 2023, there are 8 district-level transaction offices with reduced overdue debt (including: Lak, Krong Pac, Cu M'gar, Krong Buk, Ea Sup, Ea H'leo, M'Drak, Krong Ana) and 2 transaction offices with no overdue debt (Buon Ho and Krong Bong); 10/15 district-level transaction offices have reduced deferred debt compared to the end of the year and 01 Lak district transaction office has no deferred debt.

In addition, the entrusted socio -political organizations have closely coordinated with the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to effectively implement the entrusted content, disburse quickly and to the right subjects to promptly meet the borrowing needs of policy subjects, with the current total outstanding debt of nearly VND 7,959 billion (an increase of over VND 624 billion compared to the end of 2023).

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing a number of issues related to mobilizing deposits from organizations and individuals to create more capital for loans; strengthening propaganda and applying information technology in policy credit work; regularly organizing training courses on professional skills in implementing policy credit for lending groups and socio-political organizations; increasing capital for loans for women members; strengthening coordination in inspection and supervision work of the Board of Directors and associations and unions at all levels...

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank Nguyen Tuan Ha acknowledged and highly appreciated the performance of the Social Policy Bank in the first 9 months of 2024 as well as the entrusted associations and unions at all levels that have promoted efficiency, helping to increasingly improve credit quality.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha suggested that in the coming time, all levels and sectors continue to review and effectively implement the orientations and solutions for social policy credit activities in Notice No. 449/TB-VPCP, dated October 3, 2024 of the Government Office on the Conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Conference summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated November 22, 2014 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit; actively coordinate with relevant units to complete the Project on investment in policy credit for the poor and other policy subjects in the 2024-2025 and 2026-2030 periods to advise the Provincial People's Committee to soon submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval in the coming time; Relevant localities need to promptly transfer additional capital from the local budget to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to ensure the completion of the assigned plan for 2024; maintain credit quality in a stable and sustainable manner...
