The Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review the draft resolutions.

Attending the meeting were: Ms. Pham Thi Minh Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nong Thi Bich Hue, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen The Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and leaders of several relevant departments and agencies.

The leader of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council presided over the meeting.

Commenting on two draft resolutions concerning the adjustment of the budget for recurrent expenditures under the National Target Program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; and the adjustment of the budget for recurrent expenditures under the National Target Program for sustainable poverty reduction, which were not fully disbursed in 2023 and have been carried over to 2024, delegates requested a thorough review and specific consideration of adjustments to the capital sources in accordance with regulations and the needs of the people; ensuring a balance between different sectors and localities.

The delegates requested that the drafting agency research and consider regulations on expenditure levels at different levels; research and consider adding more grounds for expenditure; and review the content and wording in the two draft resolutions on the Regulations on expenditure regime for receiving, visiting, and congratulating certain subjects implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Fatherland Front Committees at the provincial and district levels in Tuyen Quang province, and on amending and supplementing Resolution No. 06/2018/NQ-HĐND, dated December 6, 2018, of the Provincial People's Council stipulating expenditure levels for training and fostering cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the province.

The leader of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the drafting agency to incorporate the feedback, continue reviewing and adjusting the draft resolution to ensure it is complete, thorough, and in accordance with regulations before submitting it to the Eighth Session.
