"The Harmony of the Homeland"

On the morning of February 24th (the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day - 2024 in Thanh Hoa took place at the Lam Son Theater ( Thanh Hoa City) with the theme "A Harmony of the Nation". The program, organized by the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts in collaboration with several departments and units, attracted the participation of numerous poets, artists, and poetry lovers.

Attending the program were: Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders from departments, agencies, and units; poetry clubs, associations, and groups; officials, soldiers, students, and a large number of poetry lovers from Thanh Hoa province.

On the full moon of the first lunar month in 2003, at the Temple of Literature ( Hanoi ), the first Vietnamese Poetry Day was held. Prior to that, in the spring of 1948, on this same day, beloved President Ho Chi Minh composed the poem "Nguyen Tieu" (Lantern Festival), a poem both romantic and deeply imbued with the realities of life, human emotions, and his feelings for the country and its people.

Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at Vietnam Poetry Day.

Attending the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day - 2024 in Thanh Hoa, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: “Authentic poetry makes people live with character, dreams, and aspirations, constantly striving towards truth, goodness, and beauty. Over the past time, poets from Thanh Hoa have worked creatively with high spirit and a sense of responsibility. Many works by poets have been well received by readers of all levels, spreading throughout the community, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people. Poetry has actively participated and made a significant contribution to the construction and development of the socio-cultural foundation of Thanh Hoa province.”

With that in mind, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, poets, and artists continue to make strong progress, creating many high-quality works to affirm their position, create a wider impact, and harmonize with the poetry, readers, and people of the whole country. Each poetic work must be affirmed and recognized in the field of literature and art in Thanh Hoa province in the new era; it should be a message to promote the image of the land and people of Thanh Hoa.

At the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day in 2024, many poems praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the country, the homeland, and the scenery of mountains and rivers were presented to the public by poets and artists.

With the theme "The Harmony of the Nation," Vietnam Poetry Day is an opportunity for poets and artists to meet, interact, encourage, and inspire each other to strive for creativity and contribute to creating poetic works that beautify life, honoring poets and their poetic works. Through this, Vietnam Poetry Day will gradually become a festival for poets and poetry lovers, especially in the early days of the new year. This will contribute to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people in accordance with the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; and Resolution No. 58 of the Politburo on building and developing Thanh Hoa until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
