The National Journalism Award for Combating Corruption, Waste, and Negative Practices is spreading widely.

On the afternoon of March 25th, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television, held a meeting of the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee for the 5th National Journalism Award on Anti-Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena, 2024-2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, affirmed that, through four editions, the National Journalism Award on Anti-Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena has received attention from media agencies and journalists nationwide, as well as the support of a large number of people; strongly promoting and encouraging the role of the press and the people in accompanying the Party and the State in the process of building and rectifying the Party, and preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative phenomena in the current period. Khanh Hoa province is considering investing in a 4,000 billion VND wind power plant project.

On March 25th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province organized a social critique conference on the investment in the Nexif Energy Khanh Hoa 1 wind power plant project with a capacity of 102 MW and a total investment of over 4,000 billion VND.

The wind power project will be invested in and built in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Son District, and Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province. (See details)

Lang Son: Construction and repair completed on over 1,900 temporary and dilapidated houses.

Lang Son province has completed the construction and repair of 1,902 out of 6,877 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

According to Resolution No. 188-NQ/TU, dated October 25, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee on implementing the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households of people with meritorious services to the revolution, policy beneficiary families, poor households, near-poor households, and people affected by natural disasters and climate change in the province, the target is to eliminate 2,472 temporary and dilapidated houses. Bac Lieu: Social critique of draft regulations on tutoring and supplementary classes.

On March 25th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province organized a social critique conference on the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating regulations on tutoring and supplementary classes in the province.

At the conference, delegates expressed their agreement with Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating supplementary teaching and learning, stating that it will better manage supplementary teaching and learning activities; help limit the widespread and unregulated practice of supplementary teaching and learning; and contribute to ensuring fairness in education; promoting students' self-learning abilities, initiative, and creativity… (See details)

Thanh Hoa province aims to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and policy-beneficiary households by 2025. A reporter from Dai Doan Ket Newspaper had an interview with Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province.

The Provincial Steering Committee has identified the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses as a crucial political task. Therefore, from the beginning of the year, provincial leaders have instructed localities and relevant sectors to focus on implementing solutions to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with high determination, great effort, and decisive action.
