The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Thap province visited the provincial martyrs' cemetery on the occasion of July 27th anniversary.

(ABO) On the morning of July 24, the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Thap province offered incense and flowers at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (in Trung An ward) on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

The Sangha respectfully bowed before the souls of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The delegation was led by Most Venerable Thich Quang Loc, member of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Thap province; with the participation of monks and nuns representing the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province; the Board of Directors and monks and nuns of Tien Giang Buddhist College.

Most Venerable Thich Quang Loc burned incense at the graves of heroic martyrs at the provincial martyrs cemetery.

In the same spirit of “Buddhism accompanies the nation”, Venerable Thich Quang Loc and the Sangha solemnly laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who had fallen for the independence and freedom of the nation. The monks and nuns went to each grave to burn incense for the heroic martyrs, the sons of the homeland who had sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of national liberation and unification.
