Frost covers Y Ty The first frost appeared in many areas of Y Ty commune on the morning of November 26.

In the early morning of November 26, the temperature dropped sharply, causing the first frost of the season to appear in many areas of Y Ty commune ( Lao Cai province).

Speaking to Tri Thuc - Znews , Do Thi Thuong, a representative of a local resort, said that the frost appeared at night and covered the resort grounds in the early morning. Many tourists exercising early in the morning took photos, recorded videos and posted them on social media.

By around 10:30, the sun had cleared and the ice was melting. A series of photos shared by tourists since the morning made the resort a popular attraction on social media.

Y Ty Commune People's Committee said that the temperature at 7am was only 3 degrees Celsius, and by 10am it had increased by about 5 degrees Celsius. The cold air caused thick ice to cover many high points such as Mo Phu Chai, Phin Ho, and Ngai Thau Thuong villages, creating a thin white layer on trees and hills.

Faced with severe cold, the commune authorities sent officials to villages to instruct people on how to take care of their health, especially the elderly and children; and at the same time, deploy cold protection measures for crops and livestock.

According to the resort representative, the number of weekend room bookings suddenly increased sharply after the icy image appeared.

"It is expected that from today until the weekend, the rooms will be fully booked. This year the ice appeared earlier than usual, usually in mid-December or late December," Thuong said.

Located at an altitude of over 2,000 m, Y Ty is one of the places in the North that welcomes winter the earliest. The early frost creates a hazy scene, attracting tourists to come and hunt for the scenery.

This is the second time this winter that Lao Cai has recorded frost. On November 19, strong cold air caused ice to appear on the road to the top of Ta Xua (Hanh Phuc commune).

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the cold air mass has affected most of the Northwest and North Central regions. The high mountainous areas of the North should be on guard against the possibility of frost, the lowest temperature during this period is generally 10-15 degrees Celsius, the mountainous areas of the North are 10-12 degrees Celsius, and some high mountainous areas are below 10 degrees Celsius.
