In her opening remarks at the Conference, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper, Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, stated that in 2025, the staff of the People's Representatives Newspaper clearly demonstrated the capabilities of a leading media agency of the National Assembly, upholding responsibility, professionalism, and a spirit of innovation.
Following the guidance of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the National Assembly leadership, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office, the newspaper's information content has become increasingly in-depth, standardized, and clearly analyzed and oriented. Many articles on lawmaking, supreme supervision, questioning and answering questions, socio-economic development, judicial reform, digital transformation, etc., have been highly appreciated by the public and are frequently selected by VTV1 for its daily morning news summary.
The newspaper's thematic coverage, focusing on the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1945 - January 6, 2025), information about the National Assembly session, the Standing Committee's meetings, the Central Committee Conference, and other major political events, was well-organized and widely disseminated.
Editor-in-Chief Pham Thi Thanh Huyen emphasized that the newspaper's journalistic products have been strongly innovated and are rich in analytical content; digital transformation has made substantial progress; Party work has maintained discipline and order; and coordination with agencies of the National Assembly, ministries, sectors, and localities has been strengthened. The newspaper has also developed its online version and multi-platform communication, with digital platforms becoming a fast, accurate information channel, reflecting the distinctive character of parliamentary journalism.
According to Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper, in 2026, the newspaper will focus on publicizing major political events of the country, increasing articles on policy commentary and analysis, in-depth articles, and articles defending the Party's ideological foundation; publicizing the rally commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly; publicizing the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; promoting digital transformation on various platforms, perfecting the converged newsroom model; and developing print, online, and television media in a coordinated manner.
The People's Representatives Newspaper is always standard, accurate, reputable, and timely.
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien stated that in 2025, in the context of the country streamlining its apparatus and implementing a two-tiered local government system, with a very large volume of legislative work, and also as the year to summarize the term of the 15th National Assembly and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1945 - January 6, 2025), the People's Representatives Newspaper has done very well in informing and publicizing the activities of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the National Assembly's agencies, the National Assembly delegations, and the activities of People's Councils at all levels, while also conveying the opinions of voters and the people to the National Assembly forum, worthy of being a bridge between the National Assembly, People's Councils and voters.
"The People's Representatives Newspaper has truly become a specialized news channel about the National Assembly, a key media outlet of the National Assembly, transmitting information very quickly, accurately, professionally, and promptly," the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office emphasized.
The Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office also noted that, in 2025, the People's Representatives Newspaper had done a very good job of taking over the work of the National Assembly Television channel when that channel ceased operations, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted work.

Newspapers have undergone digital transformation and diversified their communication methods, resulting in growth in content, format, traffic, and interaction, with increasingly professional multimedia products.
In 2026, the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office agreed with the direction and tasks set forth by the People's Representatives Newspaper. He also expressed hope that the People's Representatives Newspaper would continue to innovate further in all aspects of its operations, emphasizing that "having already achieved standards, accuracy, prestige, and timeliness, it must be elevated even higher." As the official, specialized newspaper of the National Assembly, it must become even more prestigious, standardized, and sophisticated. The People's Representatives Newspaper is already good, but it must be even better.
The Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office affirmed that the leadership of the National Assembly Office will create the best conditions for the newspaper to continue developing; wishing the People's Representatives Newspaper a new spirit, a new mindset, new opportunities, and new prospects in 2026, to successfully complete its assigned tasks and develop to new heights.
At the Conference, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Office Hoang Xuan Hoa, Chief of the Party Committee Office of the National Assembly Office Trinh Ngoc Cuong, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen and the Deputy Editors-in-Chief of the Newspaper awarded the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier at the Grassroots Level" to individuals with excellent achievements in the emulation movement in 2025; awarded the title of "Advanced Worker" to individuals with outstanding achievements in completing their tasks in 2025; awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with exceptionally outstanding achievements in performing professional tasks and journalistic economic activities in 2025; and awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Party Branch of the Current Affairs - Politics Department for outstanding performance in completing its tasks in 2025.
