To promote the implementation of electricity saving to ensure safe, stable and reliable electricity supply to serve socio-economic development in the city in 2024 and the following years, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requests departments, branches, socio- political organizations, agencies and units of the city; offices, schools, hospitals; production, business and service enterprises;
Hanoi Electricity Corporation, other power units, organizations and individuals managing and operating public lighting systems, lighting for advertising purposes, outdoor decoration, traffic lighting, and households in the city must strictly implement the contents of Directive No. 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister dated June 8, 2023 and Plan No. 212/KH-UBND dated August 11, 2023 of the City People's Committee on enhancing electricity saving in the period 2023-2025 in the city.
At the same time, maintain the synchronous implementation of solutions to increase electricity saving in each field (saving electricity in agencies, offices, office buildings, schools, hospitals; saving electricity in public lighting, lighting for advertising purposes, outdoor decoration, traffic lighting; saving electricity in households;
Saving electricity at commercial and service establishments; saving electricity at manufacturing enterprises...), ensuring stable electricity supply during the peak summer period of 2024 and the following years in the city.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also directed to step up the dissemination of information on objective factors affecting the current work of ensuring electricity supply, thereby creating a broad consensus on the policy of saving electricity in production, business and daily life activities in the area, especially during the peak summer period of 2024 to ensure safe and stable electricity supply.
City levels and sectors proactively coordinate with power companies and other power units in localities to develop plans and immediately implement urgent solutions to increase electricity saving at agencies, units, enterprises... ensuring at least 5% annual savings of total electricity consumption in the year, contributing to ensuring stable electricity supply in the city.
Organize inspection and supervision of the implementation of electricity saving solutions at agencies, enterprises, and affiliated units according to assigned authority and functions and tasks. Strictly handle violations according to regulations.
Utilize and mobilize resources to install and use rooftop solar power systems and solar water heating systems to reduce electricity consumption from national and municipal systems.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns in the work of enhancing electricity saving in 2024 and the following years in the City; at the same time, requested units to seriously implement.
