On the morning of April 4, 2025, a tragic accident occurred at a construction site for a single-story house near An Tan Bridge, Nui Thanh town, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province. While working, Mr. Luc was electrocuted and died on the spot. The unexpected accident left immense grief and an irreplaceable void for his family.
Upon receiving the information, officials from Agribank Insurance (ABIC) quickly visited the family to offer condolences, encouragement, and guidance on insurance-related procedures.
However, Mr. Luc's family was not very trusting. Not only because the tragedy was still fresh, but also because of a long-standing skepticism: "Insurance companies are only good at collecting money, but getting the money back from insurance... never!" This statement was not only heard from relatives, but also echoed by neighbors and family members – people who lived in difficult conditions year after year and had little faith in the compensation promises of insurance companies.
The eldest daughter in the family, Ms. Doan Thi Kieu, shared: “My father's loan insurance only costs 2.7 million VND per year. While waiting, they even turned to the bank officer and asked, "You said we received the money, so why are we still waiting like this? Is it really true?"

In 2024, Agribank Insurance paid out over 380 billion VND in credit insurance claims. As of the end of May 2025, the total amount paid out under credit insurance to customers was 161 billion VND, bringing the cumulative total from 2007 to over 3,200 billion VND. This money has helped hundreds of thousands of farming households overcome difficulties when facing unexpected risks in life.

After the payout, Ms. Doan Thi Kieu (daughter of the insured) quietly met with an ABIC officer to ask for the ABIC payout plaque to take home, not just as a keepsake, but also to light an incense stick as a tribute to her deceased father.
“Dad, the family has received the insurance money for the loan, the bank debt has been cleared, you can rest in peace,” Ms. Kieu said, her voice choked with emotion. For the family, the plaque is not just a simple symbol, but a sacred testament to bring peace to their father in the afterlife, so that he may soon find eternal rest – because from now on, the burden of debt no longer weighs on those left behind. “I’ll go home and tell the whole neighborhood and my whole family. So everyone knows that my family has received money from Agribank Insurance,” Ms. Kieu said emotionally.
