On September 27, heavy rains occurred in Quy Chau district (Nghe An), causing widespread flooding and landslides, completely isolating 3 communes and 6 villages in Quy Chau district; 07 schools were deeply submerged in water...; more than 1,200 houses were submerged from 1-5m deep; over 5,000 people had to evacuate; many rice and crop areas were deeply submerged, more than 1,000 livestock and poultry were swept away... Thousands of people were left in miserable conditions, living temporarily due to their property being swept away and flooded. Hundreds of students had all their books, clothes swept away by the flood...

Sharing with people affected by natural disasters, Nghe An Newspaper stands up to call for, act as a bridge, receive attention and sharing with the spirit of mutual love and affection, "the rich help the poor" from organizations, individuals and the whole society.

After 1 day of calling, through Nghe An Newspaper, we received support in cash and kind from businesses, philanthropists,... and the staff of Nghe An Newspaper with a total amount of more than 110 million VND.



Immediately after receiving the gifts, this morning (October 1), on behalf of the benefactors, Nghe An Newspaper reporters and Huy Hoang Hardware Distributor (Yen Thanh) - supported the vehicle to transport the first shipment to Quy Chau, giving 3 tons of rice, 1.2 quintals of peanuts, 4 boxes of clothes to families affected by floods in 3 communes: Chau Hanh, Chau Thang, Chau Tien. In addition, Nghe An Newspaper and the benefactors also gave 30 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to 30 households severely damaged by floods in these 3 communes, along with 4 boxes of books and notebooks for students in Chau Thang commune.

In addition, Nghe An Newspaper also supported 5,000,000 VND for reporter Be Vinh - an employee of the Center for Culture, Communication and Information of Quy Chau district. Be Vinh's family also suffered serious damage due to the flood on the night of September 27.
