Speaking at the program, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper Ly Viet Trung shared that 50 years is a journey full of challenges, but also filled with glorious marks. It is a journey of perseverance, struggle, spreading and companionship.
Established on May 19, 1975 with the original name of Saigon Women, after a journey of half a century, the collective of people who have been working at the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper is proud to have made many positive contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country. The newspaper has always been a strong and steadfast voice in condemning domestic violence, protecting the vulnerable, and fighting for gender equality. Newspaper is also a companion of happiness when Share kind stories, inspiring people.

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper has also had many programs to care for policy beneficiaries, poor women and children, women and children with disabilities, women and children with serious illnesses, and women and children in border areas.

Outstanding among the social security programs is the scholarship “Study-loving, overcoming difficulties for female students” which has been continuously continued since the 1991-1992 school year until now, with 9,083 scholarships awarded, totaling nearly 14 billion VND. The program “Warm Tet” has lasted for more than 20 years, taking care of hundreds of households each Lunar New Year, with an average total care amount of more than 400 million VND.
