The exhibition showcases cutting-edge scientific research in Germany through five main themes: the universe, human history, the brain, the anthropogenic period (the era of humankind beginning after the Industrial Revolution), and artificial intelligence (AI).
The exhibition is designed to be accessible and interactive, with easy-to-understand content accompanied by images, graphics, models, animations, films, podcasts, and high-tech interactive elements. Combining accessible general knowledge with insights from the latest scientific research in Germany, the exhibition aims to reach a wide audience, providing in-depth perspectives for anyone interested in science.

Thai Mai Lan, Director of the Goethe Institute Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “The UMI exhibition aims to show that scientific research is highly valued in Germany and is an important part of German culture. At the same time, science in Germany has a solid network of international cooperation, providing many opportunities for students and young researchers from all over the world , as demonstrated by many specific examples in this exhibition.”

The highlight of the exhibition's opening ceremony was the interactive UMI exploration experience with parallel discovery journeys. Attendees participated in a guided tour led by science media experts, exploring five main themes through interactive explanations, hands-on activities, and original content in German via the Discovery Passport.
The UMI exhibition will take place from May 18th to June 18th at the Da Nang Museum.
