(CLO) The Da Nang Museum will temporarily cease operations from December 10th to relocate to a new site that has just received an investment of over 500 billion VND.

Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of the Da Nang Museum, said that the museum will temporarily suspend visitor access from December 10th to focus on relocating documents and artifacts for the construction of the Da Nang Museum's new exhibition at its new location (42-44 Bach Dang and 31 Tran Phu, Hai Chau District).

The Da Nang Museum is temporarily suspending visitor access from 10:12 AM to 12 PM (Figure 1).

The relocation of documents and artifacts to the new location is expected to be completed around January 2025. All documents and artifacts related to the exhibition's theme will be transferred in stages.

With a much larger usable area than its previous location, the Da Nang Museum applies many new technologies in displaying and introducing artifacts, enhancing the visitor experience with numerous exhibition areas.

This includes permanent exhibition areas, thematic exhibition areas, open-air exhibition areas, temporary exhibition areas, research and development exhibition areas, and outdoor exhibition areas.

This project is considered a breakthrough in investment for the cultural sector, offering dual value: creating a new architectural landmark, museum exhibition space, and tourist attraction, while restoring the historical atmosphere of the Dien Hai Citadel National Special Monument. This structure is a historical site that has witnessed countless ups and downs in the history of Da Nang and its people.

After completing its relocation to the new site, the Da Nang Museum will offer free admission for a period of time to receive feedback from locals and tourists in order to further improve its exhibits before officially reopening and selling tickets.

The Da Nang Museum currently houses approximately 27,000 artifacts. The museum is also actively collaborating to digitize 2,000 documents, artifacts, paintings, photographs, and maps to apply new technologies, allowing visitors to interact with and listen to explanations about the artifacts via QR codes.
