Nowadays, images of works displayed in museums appear more and more on social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook or Instagram... Museums - spaces that are familiar with silence and solemnity are now transforming to become closer to the public in the digital age.

At the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, that trend is evident in a new approach to the public. "The program to give gifts to close friends on Facebook and the most popular clips about the Museum on the Tiktok platform" is one such effort. Starting in 2023, the program has become an annual activity, and is entering its third year with an increasingly professional appearance and closer to the creative community.

Overview of the program.

Fanpages such as “Chuyen cua Ha Noi”, Tiktok channel “Di cai nay khong?”, “Tram sac cham hoa”… along with many students are typical individuals and groups who have accompanied, inspired and brought new perspectives about the museum through videos , images and clips. Thanks to that, the image of the Museum is increasingly spreading strongly on social networks.

On this occasion, the museum offers gifts to outstanding content creators, with the desire to inspire the community in preserving heritage and spreading the love of fine arts to the public, especially young people.

Khanh Linh (student of Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi) - representative of the tiktok channel "Tram sac cham hoa" shared about the project: "We have cherished this project for a long time with the desire to spread the artistic values of Vietnam to young people and we chose the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts for this project".

The program is not only a material gratitude but also a recognition of the value and spiritual contribution of the online community to culture and art.

Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum also emphasized that social networks are not only a promotional channel but also an important bridge to connect, dialogue and create a two-way connection between the Museum and the public. Many people come to museums today not simply to visit, but to interact, create and tell their own stories through heritage. Gradually, museums become spaces for meeting, learning and artistic inspiration.

Creative content about the Museum attracts a lot of attention from the young public.

Recently, the museum’s Facebook and TikTok followers have increased significantly, recording tens of thousands of interactions each month. This opens up new opportunities for the museum to expand its visitor base, especially with small groups of students and art lovers coming to the museum every week to experience it firsthand.

"The program of giving gifts to thank close friends on Facebook and the most favorite clips about the Museum on the Tiktok platform" marks a turning point in the way museums coordinate with the media and social networks to become an extended arm, promoting the sustainable development of culture and art in the new era.

The organizers hope that in the coming time, the Facebooker, TikToker and young people community will continue to stick together and accompany the museum in many digitalization and extensive communication projects, creating new marks in the journey of connecting the country's heritage and creativity./.
