Teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung was born in 1939 in Duc Tho District, Ha Tinh Province. In 1961, after graduating from the Faculty of Literature, Vinh Pedagogical University, she taught at Hai Hau High School (Nam Dinh Province). After that, she transferred to teach at Nguyen Trai High School and Doan Ket High School ( Hanoi ). In 1993, she retired.
Vietnam Women's Museum receives artifacts from writer and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung
Teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung has devoted 32 years to theeducation career. After retiring, she devoted herself to her "writing" career. Up to now, she has published 10 poetry collections in many famous publishing houses; has 7 memoir collections (collections of articles and interviews) with hundreds of articles and thousands of pages of books. She is also a contributor to many newspapers such as: Literature and Arts, Great Unity, Hanoi People, Sports & Culture, Education & Times, etc.)
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung donated her priceless relics to the Vietnam Women's Museum to spread her spirit, enthusiasm in work, and efforts to overcome difficulties in life to the public through the museum's professional activities in the future. These are nearly 300 documents and artifacts including images, artifacts, some typical publications and especially a collection of more than 200 letters containing precious love between husband and wife, family and teacher-student.
Letters filled with love between teacher and student... were presented by teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung to the Vietnam Women's Museum.
With 32 years of teaching experience, with her talent and dedication, many generations of her students have grown up, made many contributions to the country, many of them hold high positions in society. Colleagueship and teacher-student relationships are sacred in the mind of writer and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung.
Teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung shared that each keepsake has been with her for many years and is a story of love for her profession, family affection, and deep friendship between colleagues and teachers and students. Through the Vietnam Women's Museum, she hopes that these "brainchildren" will be preserved to stay with life longer.

Sharing at the reception, Director of the Vietnam Women's Museum Nguyen Thi Tuyet expressed her emotion when receiving the dear and meaningful artifacts. Ms. Tuyet said that the artifacts are evidence of the efforts of teacher My Dung to overcome difficulties to devote herself to the "career of educating people" as well as achieving success in the fields of journalism, poetry writing, and story writing.
Ms. Tuyet emphasized that, in addition to historical and cultural topics, the Vietnam Women's Museum also hopes that each artifact when stopping here will tell interesting stories and bring a multi-dimensional perspective on women. This is also the museum's approach in the future - focusing on collections related to family life and the activities of Vietnamese women in social fields in recent years.
