The series of articles highlights the shortcomings of the Mekong Delta region, which has a large river system and a dense network of canals, but has yet to fully exploit its advantages in waterway transport. Several large projects with a total capital of thousands of billions of VND in the region have not yet welcomed "super ships" to "take delivery"; on the contrary, they still have to use a lot of resources every year for maintenance, repair, dredging, etc.

The series also presents a number of solutions to help the Mekong Delta region remove bottlenecks such as forming a reasonable inland waterway port system, promoting logistics links between localities, establishing warehouses...

At the award ceremony, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang acknowledged and thanked the press agencies for their support over the past time.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang assessed that the entries to this year's Award were carefully and seriously prepared, reflecting truthfully and comprehensively, conveying many profound and meaningful messages about the transport industry.
