VietNamNet Newspaper is officially under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

According to Decree 114/2025/ND-CP dated June 3, 2025 amending Clause 12, Article 3 of Decree No. 41/2025/ND-CP dated February 26, 2025, VietNamNet Newspaper is under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

The Government issued Decree 114/2025/ND-CP dated June 3, 2025 amending Clause 12, Article 3 of Decree No. 41/2025/ND-CP dated February 26, 2025 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions .

According to this Decree, VietNamNet Newspaper is under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

Decree 114/2025/ND-CP takes effect from the date of signing (June 3, 2025).

Previously, VietNamNet Newspaper was a public service unit under the Ministry of Information and Communications (according to Decree No. 48/2022/ND-CP dated July 26, 2022 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications).

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently," the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Science and Technology merged into the Ministry of Science and Technology.

According to Decree No. 55/2025/ND-CP dated March 2, 2025 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology, VietNamNet Newspaper will continue to operate until the competent authority approves the transfer of VietNamNet Newspaper to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions./.
