Inter Milan advanced to the Champions League final after producing an emotional match.

"We said we would be happy if the second leg was as exciting as the first leg," former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich told Stan Sport after Inter Milan beat Barcelona 4-3 in the second leg of their semi-final.

"It's unbelievable. This is a match of a lifetime. Everything is so excellent," the former Australian player commented. In the early morning of May 7, Inter Milan led 2-0 thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu after the first half.

However, Barcelona scored three goals in quick succession in the second half to take a 3-2 lead. Then, centre-back Francesco Acerbi equalised in the third minute of stoppage time, sending the match into extra time. In the 99th minute of extra time, Davide Frattesi scored to make it 4-3, sealing the tie at 7-6 on aggregate after two matches. Previously, the first leg ended in a 3-3 draw in Spain.

"We saw the passion from coach Simone Inzaghi on the touchline. Even the equalizer came from Inter Milan pushing centre-back Acerbi forward late on, and he scored. This is a victory for Inter in an unbelievable match," Bosnich emphasized.

"Most people, including me, thought Barcelona would win. In the second half, Barcelona created countless chances to win, but Inter Milan were not only led brilliantly tactically but also showed the basic qualities that make a great team: spirit, high determination and strong resilience," the former Manchester United star affirmed.
