Arrested a subject transporting 14.3 kg of drugs: Rewarding the force that solved the case

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Border Guard; Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

Project A424.p is chaired by the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention (Border Guard), in coordination with the Border Gate Department, Border Guards of the provinces along the Vietnam-Laos border to combat drug trafficking and illegal transportation into Vietnam. Up to now, through 6 component projects, the task force has arrested 27 subjects, seized 506.8 kg of various drugs, and 6 cars.

Project A424p has 2 component projects chaired by Quang Nam Border Guard, coordinated with functional agencies to successfully fight, including: Project A424.4p (awarded the Second Class Medal of Honor) and Project A424.6p.

Accordingly, implementing Project A424.6p, at 9:30 a.m. on May 10, in La De commune (Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province), the A424.6p Project Team, including: Drug and Crime Prevention Department - Quang Nam Border Guard; Nam Giang International Border Guard Station, Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force (Drug and Crime Prevention Department - Border Guard), Nam Giang International Border Guard Customs, arrested TNT, who was illegally transporting drugs from Sekong province (Laos) to Vietnam. The seized evidence included 38 heroin cakes (with a total weight of 14.3 kg) and 1 car.

With the above special achievements, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Border Guard decided to reward Nam Giang International Border Gate Customs; Nam Giang International Border Gate Border Guard Station and the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Quang Nam Border Guard), along with a bonus of 50 million VND.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province also decided to award 30 million VND to the A424.6p Project Board; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 6 individuals with achievements in this project.

Praising the excellent achievements of the A424.6p Project Team, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai requested that the units continue to promote their role in ensuring security and order in the border area, effectively combating all types of crimes, contributing to reducing drug smuggling into Vietnam, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the border area.

Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai requested the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention to preside over and guide agencies and units to continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions in the Government's National Strategy on Crime Prevention and Control for the 2016-2025 period and orientations to 2030; and directive documents of the Ministry of National Defense and the Border Guard Command on crime prevention and control in border areas, border gates and seaports.

The Commander of the Border Guard requested the Quang Nam Border Guard to play a good role in advising local Party committees and authorities to promote propaganda work, build and consolidate the grassroots political system, help people develop the economy, especially in areas with complex drug crimes, mobilize the strength of the entire people and the entire political system to participate in the fight against crime, and build a solid "defense line" in preventing and combating crime in border areas.
