Arrested 2 subjects for illegal possession of drugs

- On the afternoon of September 18, functional forces at the Chi Ma border gate area ( Lang Son province) coordinated to arrest two subjects involved in the act of illegal possession of drugs, seizing 2 packages of drugs (heroin).

Specifically, at 5:30 p.m. on September 18, at Km9+850, Provincial Road 236 in Long Dau village, Mau Son commune (Lang Son province), the Chi Ma Border Guard Station in coordination with Mau Son commune police and Chi Ma border customs while performing their duties discovered two subjects driving two motorbikes with suspicious signs and stopped the vehicles for inspection. Through checking the two subjects and the vehicles, the authorities discovered that the two subjects were hiding two small packages containing a white powder substance suspected to be drugs (heroin). The two subjects declared their names: Luong Van Thanh, born in 1997 and Hoang Van Truong, born in 1998 (both from Ban Phai village, Mau Son commune).

Through investigation, both subjects admitted that the above evidence was drugs (heroin) bought from a woman (unknown name and address) in My Son area, old Lang Son city (now Dong Kinh ward, Lang Son province) for 4.6 million VND with the purpose of bringing it home for use.
