Surprised with the 10th grade score distribution in Ho Chi Minh City, the fastest way to look up 10th grade exam scores

Math score distribution: 36 scores of 10

In the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade Math exam, 36 candidates scored 10 points. The highest score achieved by a candidate was 7 with 4,580 students. However, this exam also recorded more than 28,000 candidates scoring below 5 points.

There were 76,356 candidates taking the Math exam. Of these, 36 candidates scored 10; 68 candidates scored 9.75; 93 candidates scored 9.5; 143 candidates scored 9.25 and 336 candidates scored 9.

The score most candidates achieved was 7 with 4,580 students; followed by 6.75 with 4,345 students.

However, the Math subject also recorded more than 28,000 candidates with scores below 5, including 125 candidates with scores of 0.25; 108 candidates with scores of 0.5; 166 candidates with scores of 0.75 and 326 candidates with scores of 1.

The number of candidates with math scores below 5 accounts for nearly 1/3 of the total number of candidates taking the exam, which is consistent with the prediction of many teachers that with this year's exam, the phenomenon of half of the candidates having scores below 5 like previous years will no longer happen.

Literature score distribution: Highest score is 9.5

The Literature subject of the 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City 2025 does not have a score of 10. The highest score is 9.5 and only 2 candidates achieved this score. The score with the most candidates achieved is 7 with 5,936 students. The average score of the Literature subject of the 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City is from 6-7 points.

There were 76,455 candidates taking the Literature exam. The highest score in Literature was 9.5 and the lowest was 0.25. The score most candidates achieved was 7 with 5,936 students.

According to the analysis, only 2 candidates achieved the highest score of 9.5; 22 candidates achieved a score of 9.25; 179 candidates achieved a score of 9; 766 candidates achieved a score of 8.75; 1,480 candidates achieved a score of 8.5. The score that candidates achieved the most was 7 with 5,936 candidates. Next was level 6.5 with 5,718 candidates; Level 6 with 5,491 candidates.

However, the Literature exam for 10th graders in Ho Chi Minh City also recorded more than 11,300 exams with scores below 5. Of which, the lowest score was 0.25 with 7 candidates and 9 candidates scored 0.5; 11 candidates scored 0.75 and 11 candidates scored 1 point. Of the more than 11,300 candidates with scores below 5, 2,272 candidates scored 4.5; 1,919 candidates scored 4.75.

English score distribution: Nearly 7,000 candidates scored 9-10

The English exam for 10th graders in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 had quite high scores. Of which, 6,937 candidates scored 9-10. The number of candidates with a perfect score of 10 was 488.

In the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade entrance exam, 76,451 candidates took the Foreign Language exam (mainly English). Of these, 488 candidates scored 10; 1,028 candidates scored 9.75; 1,494 candidates scored 9.5; 1,826 candidates scored 9.25 and 2,101 candidates scored 9.

The English score range ranges from 3.25 to 9, which shows that the foreign language ability of Ho Chi Minh City students is quite good.

However, the English subject also recorded 24,081 candidates with below average scores. Of which, only 1 candidate scored 0.25; 7 candidates scored 0.5; 19 candidates scored 0.75 and 48 candidates scored 1.

Admission score for non-specialized public high school grade 10 is the total score of the following subjects:

Admission score = Literature score + English score + Math score + Priority points, incentive points (if any).

Admission score to grade 10 specialized schools is the total score of regular exams + specialized subject score x 2:

Admission score = Math exam score + Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Specialized subject exam score x 2 + Priority points, incentive points (if any).

According to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the test scores of all subjects are calculated on a 10-point scale. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not have any test with a score of 0.
