Private school in Ho Chi Minh City continues to make its mark with absolute valedictorian with 30 points in block B

(NLDO) - Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School (HCMC) continues to make its mark when it has a valedictorian in this year's high school graduation exam with a perfect score of 30 in block B.

With 30 points in 3 subjects: math, chemistry, biology, Tran Duc Tai, a student of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School (HCMC) became the valedictorian of group B of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Sharing with reporters right after looking up his high school graduation exam scores, Tran Duc Tai said that although he was very confident with his graduation exam results, the perfect score in 3 subjects: math, chemistry, biology and literature of 8.25 points also surprised him. With this graduation exam result, Tai chose block B as the block for admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The young man said that since the 8th grade, he began to nurture the dream of becoming a medical student, a doctor from the image of his older sister who was then a student at Can Tho University of Medicine. And with his passion and love for natural subjects, Tai learned about the learning environment and entered high school at Nguyen Khuyen School.

"I consulted a lot of information from my seniors as well as information channels and found that Nguyen Khuyen is a suitable environment for my ability as well as meeting my learning and living needs when I came from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City to study. During my high school years, teachers at Nguyen Khuyen School not only inspired my passion for knowledge but also created a comfortable learning environment, accompanied me, and gave me the opportunity to participate in competitions to show all my abilities and strengths" - Tai shared.

Although he had the ability and passion for natural subjects, especially mathematics, from a very early age, as demonstrated by his achievements as an excellent student in the city and gold medals in the Ho Chi Minh City Olympics in his high school years, in order to join the 2018 General Education Program, Tai spent a lot of time referring to textbooks, even specialized documents at the university level. Reading books and textbooks helped him cope with many situations in his knowledge. With the recent high school graduation exam in biology, thanks to reading documents, he was able to solve the question about diabetes in the exam.

Nationwide, there are 9 valedictorians who achieved a perfect score of 30/30.

(NLDO) - The 9 valedictorians who achieved perfect scores included 8 students in group A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and 1 student in group B00 (math, chemistry, biology) in the high school graduation exam.
