Le Thanh Thuy and Le Minh Thuan were assigned the responsibility of holding the flag to lead the Vietnamese sports delegation in the parade at the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games.

These are athletes highly appreciated for their expertise, ethics and style of living and competing.

Le Thanh Thuy, born in 1995, is a mainstay of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, playing as a middle blocker. She participated in the 2015 and 2017 SEA Games, contributing to the silver and bronze medals at these two events.

In the past two years, she and the team have made many marks in the international arena such as: Champion of AVC Nations Cup 2025, runner-up of VTV Cup 2025, runner-up of stage 1 of SEA V.League, champion of stage 2 of SEA V.League 2025, and qualified to participate in the World Championship.

Le Minh Thuan is the captain of the Vietnamese karate team, won a gold medal at the 2017 SEA Games and is considered by the coaching staff to be a highly skilled martial artist, an exemplary senior, and has a positive influence on the younger generation.

This is the first time Le Thanh Thuy and Le Minh Thuan have been chosen as flag bearers, leading the parade of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the SEA Games.

According to the plan, the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee will hold a flag-raising ceremony for the Vietnamese sports delegation on the afternoon of December 8 in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a solemn ceremony, recognizing the official presence of the sports delegations at the congress.

Most of the Vietnamese sports delegation members, including the head, deputy head and management staff, will arrive in Thailand on December 7, ready for the opening ceremony of the congress on December 9.
