Le Thanh Thuy and Le Minh Thuan were entrusted with the responsibility of carrying the flag and leading the Vietnamese sports delegation in the parade at the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games.

These are athletes who are highly regarded for their professional skills, ethics, and conduct in both their daily lives and competitions.

Le Thanh Thuy, born in 1995, is a key player for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, playing as a middle blocker. She participated in the 2015 and 2017 SEA Games, contributing to the silver and bronze medals in both tournaments.

In the last two years, she and the team have made many achievements on the international stage, such as: winning the AVC Nations Cup 2025, runner-up in the VTV Cup 2025, runner-up in stage 1 of the SEA V.League, winning stage 2 of the SEA V.League 2025, and qualifying for the World Championship.

Le Minh Thuan is the captain of the Vietnamese karate team, a gold medalist at the 2017 SEA Games, and is highly regarded by the coaching staff as a skilled martial artist, an exemplary senior figure, and a positive influence on the younger generation.

This is the first time Le Thanh Thuy and Le Minh Thuan have been chosen to carry the flag and lead the parade of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the SEA Games.

According to the plan, the Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games will hold a flag-raising ceremony for the Vietnamese sports delegation on the afternoon of December 8th in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a solemn ceremony, officially recognizing the presence of the sports delegations at the Games.

Most members of the Vietnamese sports delegation, including the head, deputy head, and management staff, will arrive in Thailand on December 7th, ready for the opening ceremony of the Games on December 9th.
