Surprised with candidates registering more than 230 wishes, choosing schools across the country

(NLDO) - This candidate registered 231 wishes, of which the wish to register for college accounted for about 80%.

During the "virtual filtering" process, the admissions officer at a college in Ho Chi Minh City unexpectedly discovered a special candidate. Most of the candidate's wishes were to register for colleges across the country in many different majors.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, on average, each candidate registers about 9 wishes for admission to universities and colleges in 2025.

"This is the first time I have seen such a "unique" and interesting candidate. It is worth mentioning that this student's academic performance for all 3 years of high school was ranked as good. The average score for grade 12 subjects was above 9 points" - this officer said.

In order of registered wishes, this candidate's first wish is to enter the Vietnam Dance Academy. From wishes 2 to 7, the candidate registers for Hue College of Tourism in majors such as room management, tourism English, travel management... Wish 12 is to enter Yen Bai Vocational College.

From the 59th wish, this candidate has just chosen to enter university. The universities chosen by this candidate are CMC University, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University, Vietnam University of Fine Arts, Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, Central University of Construction, Western University of Construction...

Candidates can choose from the following majors: Interior design, culinary arts, ceramics, graphic design, fashion design, veterinary medicine, accounting, multimedia communications, journalism, Japanese, logistics, vocal music, business administration, etc.

It is known that this is a candidate of LMĐ., studying at Vinh Phuc Specialized High School (old Vinh Phuc province, now Phu Tho).

Talking to reporters, D. was also very surprised to know that the number of his wishes on the system was up to 231. D. said that he planned to study abroad after graduating from high school, so he did not pay much attention to this university entrance exam. Before that, D. had asked relatives to register his wishes for him but did not expect to have such a "huge" number of wishes.

According to the regulations, the university and college entrance exam fee in 2025 is 15,000 VND/application. Thus, this candidate has paid an entrance exam fee of nearly 3.5 million VND.
