GD&TĐ - From 34 initial primary school students, after 5 years, Nguyen Khuyen Primary & Secondary School (Dak Lak) has become a prestigious and quality educational address.

After 5 years of construction and development (May 19, 2020 - May 19, 2025), Nguyen Khuyen Primary and Secondary School, Thanh Nhat Ward, Dak Lak (collectively called Nguyen Khuyen School) affirms its position as a school of compassion and aspirations to reach far.

Nguyen Khuyen School focuses on educating humanity, creating conditions for students to develop comprehensively.

Quality of education – a measure of prestige and trust

In the 2025-2026 school year, teachers and students of Nguyen Khuyen Primary and Secondary School entered the 6th year of their career of educating people on the Dak Lak plateau.

Journey 5 has passed, from the initial 34 students, with efforts to overcome difficulties, attract with quality education, to now develop into an inter-level school with more than 1,100 students. It is a proud journey of a dedicated, creative and enthusiastic teaching staff.

Each lesson is an activity to explore knowledge and develop capacity for each student.

Typically, in the 2024-2025 school year, the school achieved 120% of its enrollment target, affirming the reputation and attractiveness of a high-quality educational institution.

In particular, every year, 100% of students complete the classroom program; 100% of grade 5 students complete the primary school program; 100% of grade 9 students are recognized as graduating from secondary school.

Modern, synchronous teaching equipment and dedicated teaching staff are key factors to affirm the school's educational quality.

According to MSc. Ho Thi Lam - Principal of the school, from the foundation of a small private school, Nguyen Khuyen today has become a school trusted and chosen by parents of wards of Buon Ma Thuot City (old) - a place to nurture students to become confident, compassionate and integrated citizens.

MSc. Ho Thi Lam also sent her deep gratitude to the parents of the students who trusted and accompanied the teachers on the journey of nurturing and witnessing the growth of their children.

“Discipline, responsibility, constant innovation, quality improvement, Nguyen Khuyen School collective chose for itself the motto, teaching letters along with teaching people through charitable deeds, sharing with the disadvantaged both materially and spiritually”, Master Ho Thi Lam shared.

That spirit spreads in every class and every activity, so that every student and teacher can aim for a common value: learning to be a good person, living responsibly and knowing how to share.

Along with being recognized as a “School that meets School Health Standards”, the unit organized initial examination and first aid for 1,018 students, and settled accident insurance for 28 students with a total amount of 34.1 million VND. Food safety and boarding care are always given attention, the menu changes according to the season, ensuring the health and taste of students.

Besides, the teaching staff is always united, responsible, and completes assigned tasks well.

Lessons at Nguyen Khuyen School are always carefully invested by teachers, helping students develop their abilities and strengths.

Up to now, the school has 30 teachers achieving the title of "Excellent Teacher at school level", 30 teachers achieving "Excellent Homeroom Teacher", 100% effectively applying information technology in teaching.

At the city level (old), there were 21 teachers awarded the title of “Excellent Teacher” (2 First Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, 8 Encouragement Prizes and 6 recognized); 2 teachers were recognized as excellent homeroom teachers at the provincial level (including 1 Second Prize and 1 Encouragement Prize). There was 1 teacher recognized as an excellent teacher at the provincial level.

A dynamic and creative management team, along with a team of dedicated teachers, is the solid foundation for Nguyen Khuyen to constantly innovate and affirm its quality.

Shining Students – Teachers' Pride

Last school year, Nguyen Khuyen students continued to make their mark with hundreds of awards in many fields of study, sports, arts and life skills.

In the calligraphy contest, 39 students won prizes (6 First, 9 Second, 9 Third, 15 Encouragement). The Youth Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Youth Union Council for "Excellent completion of the Youth Union work and children's movement".

At the Junior High School Excellent Student Competition, the school won 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, 3 City-level Encouragement Prizes and 1 Provincial-level Encouragement Prize (Literature).
The STEM festival continued to be a highlight when the school team won first prize at the city level and fourth prize at the provincial level.

In the School Sports Competition, 16 students won prizes at the city level, 3 students were selected to compete at the provincial level (Swimming).

In particular, a student of class 4A4 won second prize in the "Initiative to ensure school order" painting contest, and the Youth Union won second prize in the "Children's Star Leader" contest at the city level.

Online competitions also recorded outstanding results: IOE: 675 students participated, won 15 city-level prizes, 14 provincial-level prizes, 2 national prizes. Violympic: 490 students participated, won 85 provincial-level prizes and 7 national prizes. Trang Nguyen Tieng Viet: 439 students participated, won 100 provincial-level prizes, 1 national third prize. Vio.Edu: 572 students participated, won 21 provincial-level prizes.

At the end of the school year, the school had 1 student win third prize in the provincial-level excellent secondary school exam and 2 students passed the entrance exam to Nguyen Du Specialized High School. 100% of secondary school students after finishing grade 9 were admitted to their first choice high school.

For two consecutive years (2023-2024; 2024-2025 school years, the school has had students winning national prizes in the Vietnamese Proficiency Contest, 1 second prize and 1 third prize) and 8 students winning national prizes in the IOE, 06 ViOlympics...

In the 2024 "Painting contest on school order assurance initiatives on preventing school violence and child labor", 1 student won third prize. In 2025, 1 student won second prize at the city level and second prize at the provincial level.

For two consecutive years (2023-2024; 2024-2025), the school participated in the Stem Festival and won first prize at the city level and second prize at the provincial level. Participating in the Children's Festival to promote and introduce books, won first prize at the city level and second prize at the provincial level.

75% of the students in the school received year-end awards, 70 students were recognized as "Uncle Ho's Good Children" - a telling number, affirming the comprehensive quality of education and the trust and love of parents.

STEM education is also the strength of the school's teachers and students when participating in and achieving high prizes in local competitions.

Along with teaching and learning achievements, the school always focuses on promoting learning and talent.

In the 2024-2025 school year alone, the School Board exempted or reduced tuition fees for 197 students with a total amount of VND 532.86 million (reduction from 3% to 50%), providing timely support to students in difficult circumstances, helping them to study with peace of mind.
The budget for rewarding students who won high prizes in competitions organized by superiors reached 26.23 million VND, demonstrating concern and respect for students' achievements and encouraging their spirit of striving in studying.

According to the assessment of the leaders of the Department of Education and Training as well as the leaders of Thanh Nhat Ward, over the past 5 years, Nguyen Khuyen Primary and Secondary School has performed well its duties as a non-public educational unit. With the efforts of the teaching staff, the school's students have made a strong mark on the educational map of Dak Lak - a school of quality, humanity and creativity.

Nguyen Khuyen Primary & Secondary School was established on the basis of Nguyen Khuyen Primary School located at 27A Le Cong Kieu, Thanh Nhat Ward, Dak Lak Province.

In 1999, the school was established under Decision No. 02/1999/QD-GD dated July 14, 1999 of the Dak Lak Department of Education with the name: Nguyen Khuyen Private School.

In 2013, the Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee allowed the conversion of the school type, with the name: Nguyen Khuyen Private Primary School (Decision No. 3072/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2013).

In 2020, the Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee allowed the establishment of Nguyen Khuyen Primary and Secondary School (Decision No. 3517/QD-UBND dated May 19, 2020) until now.
