Cao Bang lets students stay home from school to ensure safety before storm No. 11

GD&TĐ - The Department of Education and Training of Cao Bang province issued an urgent notice, allowing all students in the area to stay home from school on October 6 to ensure safety.

According to the announcement, the Department of Education and Training of Cao Bang province requested educational institutions to continue implementing measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, proactively report to local authorities and immediately implement plans to ensure absolute safety for students, staff, teachers and school facilities.

During school breaks, schools need to closely coordinate with parents and local authorities to manage, monitor and ensure student safety.

The Department of Education and Training also requested commune and ward leaders to closely direct and support schools in storm prevention and control; regularly update weather conditions, promptly respond and minimize damage; and recommend that parents and residents proactively remind their children to limit going out and avoid dangerous areas during storms.

On the morning of October 6, due to the influence of storm No. 11 (Matmo), rain and gusts of wind appeared in Cao Bang province.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 11 is likely to directly affect Cao Bang province on October 6 and 7.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on responding to storm No. 11, units and localities are continuing to deploy many response measures to ensure safety for people and students.
