Caught a company receiving industrial waste causing environmental pollution

On August 2, the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) - Can Tho City Police said that they had just caught a business receiving industrial waste that posed a serious risk of causing environmental pollution in Vinh Vien commune, Can Tho city.

Previously, at noon on July 31, through professional work, the Investigation Police Agency discovered that Dasaco Hau Giang Company Limited, located in Hau Giang High-Tech Agricultural Zone (Vinh Vien Commune, Can Tho City), was receiving industrial waste from tractor-trailer 51C, trailer 51R, driven by Mr. Le Cong H. (residing in Dong Thap Province). At the scene, the tractor-trailer was dumping goods (in bags) of foul-smelling sludge waste, with a mass of over 28 tons.

Smelly sludge found on company premises

Through inspection, Dasaco Company is storing solid waste (sludge) with a particularly large volume in the company's premises with an area of about ^8,000m2 , with a very high risk of causing environmental pollution.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency - Can Tho City Police is counting the amount of hazardous waste stored at Dasaco Company to investigate and clarify according to the provisions of law.
