The Presidential Palace Relic Site is where President Ho Chi Minh spent the last 15 years of his life (1954–1969), the longest period of his revolutionary career. This place has become a sacred “red address”, illuminating and educating the nation’s traditions and ideals for the youth.
During 15 years of living and working at the Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho, together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, steered the Vietnamese revolutionary boat through countless storms, simultaneously carrying out two strategic tasks: building a socialist North and fighting to liberate the South and unify the country.

The August Revolution of 1945 was a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, marking the collapse of the colonial and feudal regimes and opening an era of independence and freedom. On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first worker-peasant state in Southeast Asia.
80 years have passed, but the spirit and will of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd are still the sacred flame, illuminating the nation's path forward.

In the sacred atmosphere of the great national festival, the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 is an important political and cultural activity, demonstrating the combined strength of the armed forces and all classes of people under the leadership of the Party.
Offering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and visiting the Presidential Palace Relic Site before the parade is not only an opportunity for the participating forces to express their sincere respect and deep gratitude to the beloved Father of the nation, but also a valuable opportunity to educate revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, and foster the ideal of serving the Fatherland for the cadres and soldiers who are day and night protecting independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and preserving the peaceful life of the people.

Visiting the residence and workplace of President Ho Chi Minh, learning about relics such as the Stilt House, House 54, House 67, Fish Pond, Garden..., each cadre and soldier feels like returning to his immense love, understanding more about his simple yet noble lifestyle, then quietly reflecting on themselves and seeing the need to live better, contributing more to the Fatherland and the people.
