Ninh Thuan General Hospital opens "Understanding and Love" accommodation

The "Understanding and Compassion" accommodation facility, built within the Ninh Thuan General Hospital grounds, was funded with over 450 million VND (including cash and in-kind donations) from more than 20 organizations, individuals, and businesses inside and outside the province. The facility, with a total usable area of 120m², is designed with two separate buildings for men and women, ensuring private, safe, and convenient resting spaces for patients' relatives.

Leaders of the Department of Health presented certificates of commendation from the Director of the Department of Health to collectives that achieved outstanding results in the construction of accommodation for patients' relatives at Ninh Thuan General Hospital.

The accommodation facilities are fully and comprehensively equipped, including: 50 actual beds (out of a planned 100 beds), a lighting system, 10 ceiling fans, 2 televisions, a hot and cold water dispenser, personal lockers, phone charging sockets, security cameras, and 2 restrooms (male and female) with a total area of nearly 20m².

The commissioning of the "Understanding and Compassion" accommodation facility contributes to promptly addressing the accommodation needs of patients' relatives in inpatient treatment wards, especially those with long treatment durations such as: Intensive Care - Toxicology, Interventional Cardiology, Oncology, Nephrology - Urology, etc.; helps medical staff reduce the pressure of assisting patients' relatives so they can focus on their professional work; and enhances a safe, hygienic, and orderly treatment environment. This is also a concrete, effective, and meaningful step in the process of transforming the hospital model towards a comprehensive, humane, and community-friendly approach.
