During the harvest season, farming work is busy, but when reminded by the village chief, Ms. Vui Thi Yen, in group 14, Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district, spent time at home for the investigator to interview and collect information. Ms. Yen also prepared all the family information so that the investigation would be smooth, quick and accurate.
Ms. Yen said: "I have cooperated and provided full information to the investigators. I also hope that after the investigation, the Party and State will have more policies to support ethnic minorities, so that we can have a better life."
Investigators collected information at the home of Ms. Vui Thi Yen.
Large areas and scattered populations pose challenges for the locality when collecting information. To achieve the set goals, Bat Xat focuses on propaganda; at the same time, it selects investigators with good communication skills, proficient in using technological equipment, and enthusiastic about the job.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Rue, investigator of Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district said: "The questionnaire has many areas, it takes a lot of time to collect information, some families spend more than 1 hour. You have to understand and grasp the process, then the investigation will be faster and more accurate."
Investigation and information collection of ethnic minorities are urgently carried out by Bat Xat district.
As of July 20, Bat Xat district has surveyed 35% of the households subject to the survey. With the goal of completing the survey before August 1, the locality is making efforts to implement it, especially in difficult areas.
Mr. Hoang Viet Duc, Head of the Bat Xat District Statistics Office, added: "The total number of mobilized investigators is 45 people. The terrain is large, ethnic minorities live scattered, the investigators work hard but try very hard, receiving support from the people."
Along with Bat Xat district, other districts, towns and cities in the province are speeding up the progress. Collecting information and fully and accurately reflecting the current situation of population and housing is an important condition for the Party and State to build policies for socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas.
