Election to appoint additional members to the Hanoi People's Committee.

On the afternoon of June 2nd, continuing the program of the third session (special session), the Hanoi City People's Council passed a Resolution electing Mr. Le Thanh Nam, Director of the City Department of Agriculture and Environment, as an additional member of the City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.

According to the submission from the Hanoi People's Committee, on May 25, 2026, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 2638/QD-UBND on the acceptance and appointment of Comrade Le Thanh Nam, born in 1971, City Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ngoc Ha Ward, to work at the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, holding the position of Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment.

During his career, Comrade Le Thanh Nam served as an officer at the Hanoi Land Surveying Company and the Hanoi Department of Land Administration; subsequently, he held various positions at the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

From May 2022 to January 2024, he served as Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dan Phuong District. From January 2024 to February 2025, he was Secretary of the Party Committee of the agency and Director of the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Subsequently, Comrade Le Thanh Nam successively held the positions of Deputy Head of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Organization Department; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Hanoi City People's Committee, Chief of the Office of the Party Committee of the Hanoi City People's Committee, Chief of the Office of the Hanoi City People's Committee; City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Ngoc Ha Ward for the terms 2021-2026 and 2026-2031.

From May 25, 2026 to the present, Comrade Le Thanh Nam has held the position of Member of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment.
