(Dan Tri Newspaper) - A 2-year-old girl in Dak Nong was taken to a coffee plantation by her relatives for safekeeping while they went to pick coffee. The girl wandered around playing and got lost deep in the plantation for several hours.
On the afternoon of November 26th, a leader of the Tan Thanh commune People's Committee (Krong No district, Dak Nong province) confirmed that an unusual incident had occurred in the area where a 2-year-old girl got lost for several hours in a deserted coffee plantation in a hilly area.
According to initial information, on the afternoon of November 25th, N. (2 years old) was taken to the plantation by a relative to both pick coffee and look after it.

At that time, the little girl was playing alone near where her relatives worked. However, at around 4:30 PM that same day, her relatives discovered that she had left without them noticing.
Many people immediately fanned out to search for the girl, but without success. The incident was reported to the local authorities.
The Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee quickly mobilized militia forces, commune police, and dozens of local residents to assist in the search for the girl. However, the dark coffee plantations and hilly terrain posed many obstacles to the search efforts.
At 11 PM that same day, authorities finally found N. near a stream, about 2km from the initial location.
"The little girl was lucky to be found right by the stream. If the search had been delayed, who knows what might have happened," said the leader of Tan Thanh commune.
Following the efforts of the search and rescue team, the Tan Thanh commune authorities have given special commendations to several individuals and units.
